Welcome

Welcome to Águilas! You are in the southernmost town on the Mediterranean coast of Murcia. The climate is sunny with an average temperature between 15 and 30 degrees all year round. Today is the day of arrival at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, located in the marina of Águilas, where you can rest from your trip and get ready for the next day’s route.

Coves and beaches.

After a good breakfast to get our strength back, we will start with a briefing of the route to follow. Most of the route will go through the most spectacular and unknown coastal areas and beaches of the town. Distance 42 kms / maximum altitude 70m. We will alternate between paths, small climbs, bike lanes and roads.

Mountain and inland trails.

Today is a mountain day. Maximum altitude 600/700m., the distance to cover will be approximately 36 Kms. with an accumulated difference in altitude of 878m. We will ride along paths, forest tracks, tracks and roads. We will find some technical uphill and downhill areas that you will be able to do getting off the bike if necessary. On the way back to the hotel you can enjoy a well-deserved rest.

A well-deserved rest.

It’s time to recharge your batteries, take a walk, sunbathe and do a bit of sightseeing around Águilas. We have at your disposal extra activities such as guided tours of Águilas, Lorca, nautical activities, visits to the Geode of Pulpí, reservations in restaurants in the area, sports physiotherapy service, let yourself go and enjoy!

Mountains and the Arab legacy.

Today we travel to Lorca. A mountain route that will surprise you awaits us. Paths, forest tracks, wadis…. You will also be able to enjoy incredible views of the Moorish castle of Lorca, located in a privileged enclave. The distance will be 26Kms with a maximum altitude of 725m. We will finish in one of the most central squares for tapas.

Back home.

It’s time to return home full of good feelings. It has been a pleasure to share with you our enthusiasm for cycling. We hope you come back and enjoy another of our MTB experiences. See you soon.
